This collection contains original manuscripts with editorial notes notes (including those pertaining to chapters), drafts, research, promotions of her works,photographs and personal comments to several of her novels, including Suspicion of Guilt, Criminal Justice, Blood Relations, Suspicion of Deceit, Suspicion of Innocence, and Suspicion of Betrayal. Additionally, this collection contains select unabridged audiobooks to Suspicion of Guilt and Suspicion of Betrayal.

Biographical / Historical

Barbara Parker was a mystery writer. She was born on January 28, 1947, in Columbia, South Carolina. From there, she moved with her family to Florida and Ms. Parker graduated from the University of South Florida before attending law school at the University of Miami. Following graduation, she worked as a prosecutor in the State Attorney's Office, then eight years as a sole practitioner. Afterwards, she took a job as a paralegal to focus on writing mystery novels in her free time. Additionally, she attended Florida International University where she wrote her master's thesis, which also became her first suspense novel, Suspicion of Innocence, and was also a finalist for the Edgar Allan Poe Award for best first mystery novel by an American author. The novel, published in 1993, was made into an ABC Movie of the Week titled Sisters and Other Strangers in 1997. She passed away on March 7, 2009, in Boca Raton, Florida.
