This collection contains various documents from Central and South America, including Brazil, in relation to the church and how society around is changing, and what the views from the church are regarding those changes. Most of the collection is written documents pertaining to the churches view on these changes and how it is related to their personal values, including from the Vatican, such as Vaticano de Obispas (Synod of Bishops for the Pan-Amazon Region, on: "New paths for the Church and for an Integral Ecology").

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Ana Maria Bidegain is a professor of religious study at Florida International University. She became a member of the Cambridge Christian Dictionary and is also an editorial member of the History of the World Christian Movement. To her achievements, she is also a noted author of several books on religious study, including Historia del Cristianismo en Colombia and Globalización y Diversidad Religiosa en Colombia. Her primary interest in religion is the presence of women in Latin American Christian History and the Religious Experiences of Latin American and Caribbean migrants.
